Section titles[edit]

Two things:

1. Please see WP:MOSHEAD; wikilinks do not belong in section titles.

2. Please be aware that there are incoming links to these section titles, please do not re-categorize them. Thanks!--2008Olympianchitchat 12:23, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • My apologies. as long as the spelling of the titles stay the same, it does not matter that they have moved from sections to subsections.--2008Olympianchitchat 22:32, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • There is no need in an article titled List of WEC champions, to then have titles that read WEC Heavyweight champion, WEC lightweight champion, etc. First, it is redundant: of course they are the WEC champion, it says so right in the title. Second, and more importantly, it breaks all the incoming links to those sections. I'm talking every title event and every title holder in the history of the WEC. Why should we change all of those links that are perfectly fine just so that you can have the word WEC in them? It doesn't make any sense and it does is create tons of work for no reason. --2008Olympianchitchat 22:49, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

Does anyone have a source for this article?--2008Olympianchitchat 04:36, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please...., this acticle was made almost entirely on what poeple can recall and remember. A source would be greatly appreciated. 207.246.181.26 (talk) 17:05, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What is supposed to happen is that the people writing the article supply sources. If you don't have sources for information, you shouldn't be putting it in the article. Even the WEC official website doesn't list champions. Is there even any reason to think that WECactually has champions, rather than simply two guys fighting each other depending on who is available and will bring in the most money?

Please be aware that unreferenced information CAN BE REMOVED AT ANY TIME. Currently that looks like the whole of this article. And if it's really based on just what people remember, that might be a good thing. Please see Wikipedia:Verifiability. DJ Clayworth (talk) 22:41, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Name[edit]

Is there any reason why this doesn't have the full name in the title? i.e. List of World Extreme Cagefighting champions? DJ Clayworth (talk) 22:31, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Missing heavyweight champion[edit]

Brandon Vera as listed in another article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brandon_Vera) Won the WEC heavyweight title by defeating Mike whitehead on January 22, 2005. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.61.147.34 (talk) 02:18, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
