Requested move 14 December 2022[edit]

The result of the move request was: not moved. Although it was not disputed that most Xbox One accessories are compatile with the Xbox Series X/S, it was noted that this compatibility was not universal, and that the proposed title would not be in line with general practice around forward-compatible products. Consequently, there does not appear to be a consensus to move the article at this time. (non-admin closure) ModernDayTrilobite (talkcontribs) 16:37, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

List of Xbox One accessoriesList of Xbox One and Series X/S accessories – All of the Xbox One accessories except Kinect and the Digital TV Tuner are also compatible with the Xbox Series X and Series S. 99.209.40.250 (talk) 16:06, 14 December 2022 (UTC) — Relisting.  ASUKITE 15:31, 23 December 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. ––FormalDude (talk) 12:07, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'm neutral on this, but it seems reasonable if true, which I suspect it is. The problem is that the article doesn't seem to mention this compatibility (and if it does it will need a reliable source). I think that needs to be changed if this is to be moved, otherwise it seems reasonable. ASUKITE 17:02, 22 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

From my experiences, it seems to be true, so I’m supporting the move. DecafPotato (talk) 03:45, 24 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
But are all X/S accessories compatible with the One and can we source that? This move request immediately starts out by denoting two accessories that aren't forward compatible. -- ferret (talk) 14:00, 24 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - we don't usually handle compatibility in this way, in the same way that we do t list all PS4 games as PS5 games, or Wii games as Wii U games, just because they're largely compatible. Sergecross73 msg me 15:59, 24 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. In addition to this not being the scope of the article, there also seems to not be any list article of accessories for the Xbox Series X/S anywhere on Wikipedia; all Wikipedia seems to have is what is located at Xbox Series X and Series S#Xbox Wireless Controller and accessories for Xbox Series X/S. I'd recommend creating such a list first, and then determining if that article can be merged into this one. Until then, without any idea how expanded the scope of this article could turn into with a new title, the current title should remain. Steel1943 (talk) 17:30, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

headset adapter, removed 2.5mm section[edit]

I've removed the nonsensical 2.5mm text from the headset adapter section. The original Xbox One Wireless Controller (1537) has no headset connector whatsoever, neither 2.5mm nor 3.5mm. Whoever posted this nonsense confused it with the Xbox 360 controller, as it's the only type to have a 2.5mm connector.
