Short titles of partial Acts[edit]

The Consumer Assistance to Recycle and Save Act of 2009 is contained within the Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2009, as was recently noted by an editor to this page. Many statutes have multiple short titles contained within them. For example, all of these are in Omnibus Appropriations Act of 2009 (See here).

Bills renaming Post Offices[edit]

I'm doubting that the bills renaming post offices are note worthy enough to be included here. I think this should be confined to major legislation. Jon (talk) 18:43, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The purpose of this article is to list all the laws passed by Congress. I think it would be kind of arbitrary to just exclude the post office renaming ones (as boring as they are). Additionally, how would you define major legislation: by length, impact on society, amount of public attention, or the amount of money involved? I think listing all the laws is the only subjective way to do it. Besides, if someone was looking for major legislation it is listed at 111th United States Congress and, on this article, most noteworthy bills have links to their own articles. – Zntrip 19:14, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
