Remove Sponsor and rowspans?[edit]

ItsABlackHole: Why did you add the sponsor column and why is it a good idea? Because it does not appear in the OFR PENS emails, it is a pain to add it as soon as bills are enacted into law (i.e. when this page should be updated), and it seems to me we should make that as easy as possible. But I have been ignoring the 118th Congress because they haven't done much of anything, so perhaps my voice is unimportant. jhawkinson (talk) 02:08, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Similarly, Koridas, why was it appropriate to add rowspan="2" (&c.) for rows that share the same Date of Enactment? It seems to me it makes the table harder to maintain and we should optimize for ease of maintenance and accuracy, not…merger of vertical cells? (I acknowledge that it can be argued that the merger is "prettier," although I'm not sure that would be generally agreed with, but it doesn't seem to me that prettier is worth the maintenance cost). I acknowledge I may have strong views about maintenance that are out of step with others (See above). Thanks. jhawkinson (talk) 02:30, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

118-50 premature?[edit]

Revangarde568 What's your source for 118-50? We do not generally list new public laws here until the number is officially assigned, usually first from OFR and sometimes later congress.gov?

In any case, Please always use an edit summary! You and Dpom581 have had several recent edits where you have not summarized the edit. That's not ok in general, and especially not on this page! This is a fast-moving topic that is of significant importance to many people, and it needs to be as easy to review changes as possible. An edit summary is a critical part of that. Please make sure you use one going forward. Thank you! jhawkinson (talk) 17:58, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
