I thought it would be better if the list were broken out of the parent article, Major League Baseball drug policy. It should probably be improved with information about why each drug is on the list, when it was added, players affected, etc. I'm also inclined to think that the parent article, Major League Baseball drug policy should be merged with Banned substances in baseball in the United States, although one seems to deal with the policy and the other with the history and scandel. I'm probably going to move Banned substances in baseball in the United States, because that's an awful name for that article, and re-direct it to this list. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 22:36, 7 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Outdated[edit]

Both this article and Major League Baseball drug policy needs rewrites to address the removal of marijuana as a drug of abuse under the policy. PDMagazineCoverUploading (talk) 06:37, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I added some text on this, but I'm unclear as to the extent to which cannabis is banned or not. They said that they removed it from the list in December 2019, but then said in spring training 2020 that you could still get a suspension for possession, sale, or DUI. I guess they just don't test for it any more? – Muboshgu (talk) 18:15, 18 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
