Block Stadium was renamed League Park, in 1915. The team played in this stadium on the south side of San Antonio (on Garden St), until a new ball park, also named League Park, was opened and play began in 1925. That ball park is on Josephine Street. It burned down in 1932. It is confusing, because there were actually two ball parks of the same name.

I received this information indirectly from David King, of the San Antonio Express-News. It is historical information I already knew. The information was presented as follows: Quote: David King (expert on all things minor league baseball in SA) reports that Block Stadium (on Presa St.), 1913-14 was renamed League Park in 1915. It continued in use through 1924. The club moved to the Josephine St. location in 1925, playing there until the park burned during the 1932 season, interestingly, just about a month after the Shreveport park burned to the ground. While the Sports played one game in Longview, then finished the season in Tyler, the SA club stayed in the city, first playing a game(s) at Eagle Field, before settling at Tech Field, where they continued to play through 1946.

I don't know. I suspect this information may be found in the book "San Antonio at Bat : Professional Baseball in the Alamo City", by David King, a book I have not read. While your finding documentation on the two League parks, see if you can find something on a ball park located, I believe, on South Laredo Street, in San Antonio. It was home of Spanish-American League (semi-pro) baseball in the Alamo City. I have inquired, but nobody seems to remember it. When I was a kid, we drove by it all the time. I noticed you did get "San Antonio at Bat: Professional Baseball in the Alamo City" I also noticed you have not corrected the fact, that Block Stadium, on what is now S. St Marys Street, changed its name in 1915, to League Park. The new league park, on Josephine Street, was not opened until 1925. I have a 1921 street map of San Antonio. There is League Park in all it's glory, noted on the map, between Garden Street (today St. Marys) and Presa Street. The new league park you reference on Josephine, is not there because in isn't built yet. I am finding Wikipedia frustrating, because corrections do not seem to be in the offing by those of you who write the articles with a perception of expertise.
