Untitled[edit]

At the time of this writing (July 2013) there are numerous birds listed which do not cite a publication -- should those be marked as tentative or similar until a supporting publication is provided? 176.35.234.145 (talk) 15:43, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Extinct birds[edit]

Should the extinct birds (the Bermudan birds, the New Caledonia snipe, and the Sao Miguel scops owl) be removed from this list? While all of these lived relatively recently and were wiped out by human expansion, they were still only described long after they went extinct, and thus I'd consider them different from the rest of this list (which focuses more on extant species discovered), closer to paleontological discoveries (albeit not entirely paleontological, given that none seem to be entirely fossilized).--Geekgecko (talk) 01:44, 14 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
