Column headings[edit]

I need guidance. So, possible items (but not too many or nobody will populate the table):

  • Name
  • Area served
  • Headquarters
  • Fleet size
  • Subscribers
  • Stations
  • Points
  • Power source
  • Notes

The table isn't helpful in current form[edit]

The table isn't helpful in current form

The column "location" records where the company is based, but it may offer services in other locations.

For example, Getaround and Zipcar are listed as based United States, but offer cars in Europe also.

Suggest splitting location into "Country of parent company" and "operates in" (multiple countries, although that means that column sorting won't work very well).

Thank you for your suggestion. I renamed the "Location" column to "Headquarters" and added a column "Service area". --Ita140188 (talk) 02:47, 21 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dear @Ita140188:, I was doing two edits in one difference. First the Update of data in the table and second removing empty colums. Please stop removing my Updates on the table! And now let us discuss, why we need the empty colums. Bigbossfarin (talk) 09:32, 6 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Japan's "Times Car" IS a carsharing service, not a car rental service[edit]

Hello @Count Count:, it appears my edit to add Times Car, a Japanese service, has been reverted with the reason given that "Car rental is not the same as car sharing". However, Times Car IS indeed a car sharing service and explicitly not a car rental service, as it has all the hallmarks of a car sharing service -- a short minimum rent time of 15 minutes, cars placed on parking lots as opposed to dedicated centers, booking with no human intervention using smartphone apps, pricing by short time increments rather than days, etc. All of the above can be confirmed on Times Car's usage instruction pages and FAQ pages, albeit all written in Japanese.

Times does have a separate service, Times Car Rental, which is a traditional car rental service and has a whole separate website that is distinct from Times Car (the carsharing service). Perhaps you may have stumbled onto it and mistook the two as being the same thing?
