Improve[edit]

'current date' is in each one of these, making them look as though they were just updated when they haven't been, this should be removed

NFL rosters is much less wordy, this should probably be moved there. i didn't find this until after i had created NFL rosters because i couldn't find this, it should be placed somewhere accessible.

List of current National Football League players should be merged into the roster list

I updated the Chicago Bears roster to include recently signed Mike Hass who is on the practice squad. If you don't agree look it up, he signed with the bears, his agent confirmed today. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rgoss25 (talkcontribs) 19:04, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Chicago, IL (AHN) - Bears tackle Dusty Dvoracek was placed on the injured reserve list for his third straight season, after rupturing his right biceps (so stop taking him off of injured reserve) *Rgoss25Rgoss25 (talk) —Preceding undated comment was added at 13:50, 4 December 2008 (UTC).[reply]

American Football team[edit]

Could this template be applied to the roster of the American Football team? — Preceding unsigned comment added by MicroX (talkcontribs) 20:01, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Collapsed[edit]

I suggesd a collapsed syntax be added to show/hide these boxes. They are very large and could better suit their respective pages in an initial "hide" view. Doctorindy (talk) 15:35, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Traditionally these are not collapsed. They are different than navboxes; tables, almost. Pats1 T/C 20:54, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Different pages for each season[edit]

There should be a different page for each season. That is, something like:

Lowellian (reply) 21:47, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No, because there are only a small fraction of historical season pages (i.e. 2002 New England Patriots season that have rosters on them, and all of those have been de-templatized. Pats1 T/C 23:10, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

table width=100%[edit]

I am considering that ever roster tables' width should be changed to 100%. The reason I am asking this is so that every name/line was only on one line. This shows when other user computer screen are small then other. If no one would consider then that is fine with me, Once again I am just considering this. --Mr. Unknown (talk) 15:28, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

DTR[edit]

The newly added DTR acronym is out of sync with NFL speak. It should be DFR, Designated For Return. source: http://nfllabor.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/08-30-12-nfl-nflpa-adopt-bylaw-proposals-2.pdf — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.64.205.92 (talk) 14:43, 20 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The bottom is glitched?[edit]

I moved other teams down there and they still don't show up, also the cardinals template link doesn't show up either. makes no sense WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 17:58, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"Warning: Template include size is too large. Some templates will not be included." Ok then. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 18:01, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Technical limits on the amount of text that can be transcluded have been exceeded. The obvious solution is to spit the article into AFC and NFC team rosters. I patrol Category:Pages where template include size is exceeded and that's how I landed here. I'll work on that. Wbm1058 (talk) 19:05, 24 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
