IBO[edit]

These rankings should be removed. Although I do somewhat rate the IBO, listing their rankings alongside the other four organisations gives a false impression that the IBO is on the same level. Which it certainly isn't. – 2.O.Boxing 17:04, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Flag Representation[edit]

Since the removal of flag representation, I feel as though the article feels somewhat empty.

According to MOS:SPORTFLAG, "Flags should never indicate the player's nationality in a non-sporting sense; flags should only indicate the sportsperson's national squad/team or representative nationality"

Should we not match the flags with respect to the nation/subnation the fighters choose to represent or if not how the governing bodies has them listed?

That would be indicating their nationality in a non-sporting sense. Professional boxers do not represent nations in an official capacity; the flags they wave around in the ring are personal preference and the sanctioning organisations list whatever passport the boxer chose to register with (Beterbiev is a prime example of that). – 2.O.Boxing 17:53, 7 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

IBO[edit]

Where has IBO rankings gone? 95.149.133.129 (talk) 05:53, 10 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Even if you don't think IBO is on the same level as the other sanctioning bodies it should still be on the page with boxing current rankings as it is definitely part of the conversation and is by definition still a boxing sanctioning body and arguably the least corrupt one that exists. Many boxing fans complain about the corrupt rankings in the WBA,WBC,IBF and WBO. Yet at the same time don't take the IBO seriously despite it being the only sanctioning body that has an incorruptible and unbribable computerised ranking system. 95.149.133.129 (talk) 15:36, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The IBO isn't one of the sport's four major sanctioning bodies nor is it well-regarded. It doesn't belong in this article. – 2.O.Boxing 15:45, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
