Germany[edit]

This seems trivial, and is the only real content of the Afghanistan–Germany relations page:

The relations between Germany and Afghanistan began during World War I. People of Afghanistan referred to Germany as German kākā ("uncle German").[1]

2021 update necessary with Taliban[edit]

There should be some update, or symbol, denoting which of the diplomatic missions are closed, which are "kept open by the Republic in exile" and which are "officially run by the Afghan government under the Taliban". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2607:FEA8:C39F:A200:FC62:BFE5:6CD9:581A (talk) 16:23, 3 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"Standard format"[edit]

@Aquintero82: Please provide the relevant MoS item and/or discussion that established this "standard format" that prevents me from grouping missions by the government they represent. I have not been able to find one. I believe it is important to separate out which missions are controlled by which government because they are representing different entities and serving radically different purposes (and the IP in the above section also had the idea, BTW). I did not make any other changes to the formatting than drawing a distinction between the Taliban and the western-backed governments. If this "standard format" does exist somewhere, I'd imagine the kind of diplomatic nightmare Afghanistan is currently embroiled in was not foreseen in its design. ― Tartan357 Talk 20:37, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
