Much better. Excellent work!! (Now Angie Wilson's stats need to be added for Trucks and Goody's Dash... ;) ) - The Bushranger One ping only 23:28, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Merge?[edit]

I'm kinda wondering right now... Kinda following Ched's suggestion on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject NASCAR, should we merge this with List of female Formula One drivers, List of female 24 Hours of Le Mans drivers, and List of female Indy 500 drivers? Yes, this page is only 9 days old, compared to the other pages, which are at least a year old (Formula One is 6 years!), but when I created this page, I was somewhat more interested in turning this into a featured list, and by combining all of them, it could be a somewhat "collaboration" between WP:WikiProject NASCAR, WP:WikiProject Sports Car Racing, WP:WikiProject Formula One, and WP:WikiProject American Open Wheel Racing. I'm going to post this on the other talk pages to see what happens. Zappa (talk) 23:31, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'd personally say "no", to be honest - each type of racing is so wildly different that smushing them all together into one "female drivers" article would be extremely awkward, IMHO. - The Bushranger One ping only 00:05, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I suggest NO MERGE. I took an initiative to greatly expand List of female Indianapolis 500 drivers, and make it Indy 500-centric, adding history, records, and cleaned up the table itself. It should be enough to stand on its own. Doctorindy (talk) 17:46, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Improvements?[edit]

Missing: 1) Kat (Kathryn) Teasdale - competed in the Busch Series (Milwaukee Mile) and Busch North Series (Watkins Glen) in the mid-late 90's. She also DNQ'ed for another Busch Series event. She should have a Canadian flag next to her name.

2) Cindy Peterson. Tried to qualify for the Truck Series race at the Milwaukee Mile in the mid-late 90's. She competed mostly at a short track in Slinger, Wisconsin.

3) Sherry Blakley is also known for competing in the 90's in the discontinued NASCAR Sportsman Series, a series that raced second-hand Cup cars from the 70's and 80's. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.26.30.5 (talk) 22:26, 4 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Since merging might not be the best idea out there, should we put in some pictures on this page? Or maybe a few more drivers if we can find any? These are the only improvements/changes I can think of. Zappa (talk) 00:18, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A picture would be a good addition at the top of the page, are there any out there with groups of female racers? - The Bushranger One ping only 18:55, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

ARCA[edit]

With the amount of female drivers coming from the ARCA Racing Series, as well as the series being considered a few steps down from the Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series, are they worth a mention in the "Other Series" sections? ZappaOMati 22:38, 31 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'd say nope, since ARCA is not NASCAR. ;) - The Bushranger One ping only 22:43, 31 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No. ARCA is a different sanctioning body than NASCAR, even though NASCAR sometimes helps them. -- Nascar1996(TalkContribs) 00:56, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Broken links...[edit]

Hi all.

I'm translating this page in French and I found many broken links (404, not found, etc...). Is it because I can't access them from France or are they really broken?

  • "mlracing.com"
  • "racingwest.com"
  • "catchfence.com"
  • all "racerchicks.com"
  • all " nascar.com"

So I have 26 red links in the references.

Have a nice end of week. Please ping me, Llann .\m/ (Lie 2 Me ...) 04:06, 4 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A little more[edit]

I've got a problem with few technical terms in this sentence : « the first woman to lead under green on a non-restrictor plate track ». If someone can help, Google can't explain me what is that « non-restrictor plate track » (a friend told me it's a plate wich limits the air entry but he's not sure... Thanks again. --Llann .\m/ (Lie 2 Me ...) 23:53, 4 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
