Since when was DOOP and FART espionage organisations? Better someone to clean up this article for none-espionage organisations. --[Svippong - Talk] 23:51, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. A lot of these are not espionage organisations. When I am bored someday, I will fix it. --Awhit003 (talk) 02:38, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nitpicking - SMERSH[edit]

Err, as is mentioned in one of the earliest James Bond books, "Smersh" is the Russian contraction for (English spelling might be a little loose here) "SMErt "SHpionam", meaning "death to spies". So strictly speaking it is not an acronym. That does not of course affect the claim made in this article. Old_Wombat (talk) 07:58, 19 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

KAOS?[edit]

A bit amazing that "Amongst the most popular" in a "List of fictional espionage organizations" room cannot be found for KAOS from "Get Smart". If it is not an acronym (and a cursory Google can't find anything on it) I feel it still should be mentioned, perhaps with a note that it is not an acronym. My POV. We can probably assume the above comment is a coded message to another agent of POV. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:630:E4:42FD:FFFF:FFFF:FE16:5F4C (talk) 15:43, 26 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
