Comments[edit]

What precisely is the point of this article? -- Y not? 20:19, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

To keep this list from overwhelming the original Princess article, supposedly, see that talk page.204.52.215.107 14:30, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup[edit]

I shall clean this article up, theres no real talk on the talk page so I'll take that as a sign to go ahead and begin the task. Ncboy2010 (talk) 17:14, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've actually decided to start over from scratch, choosing only 1-2 examples per medium to set an example for a better article. Ncboy2010 (talk) 18:30, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

N0-Princesses[edit]

There are some inclusions in the list of people from a (fictional) royal family that never received that title. I think we should refrain from including them. Each monarchy has different rules as to who can receive the princely title: in some cases it's only the crown heirs, in others is restricted to blood relatives, and some others are much more flexible in its use. For this reason, characters that no source identifies as princesses such as Eowyn (niece of a king), Neytiri (daughter of a tribal chieftain) or Nala (girlfriend of a king) should be excluded.--RR (talk) 13:32, 11 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Wat about sissi?[edit]

Shes a princess too

Duplications[edit]

Some of these are duplications. For example, peach and princess toadstool are the same character. --User:26zhangi (talk) 20:18, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Proposal to keep list relevant[edit]

Only fictional princesses with their own Wikipedia articles should be included in this list. Thoughts? Wes sideman (talk) 14:55, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

As no one has raised any objections to this in 3 weeks, I'll go ahead and start trimming. Wes sideman (talk) 14:33, 7 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I immediately suggest we should undo the trimming. Any of the characters should NOT be trimmed out of the list. Reese3196 (talk) 17:11, 12 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You're not offering any rationale for this. Based on Wikipedia policy, I must observe that according to WP:NOT, we shouldn't have an indiscriminate list of fictional princesses. There needs to be a qualifier for inclusion. Wes sideman (talk) 15:39, 15 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Shall I restore few of the princess characters that have been trimmed? Reese3196 (talk) 15:39, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No, absolutely not. Most of the list is still a violation of WP:NOT. Wes sideman (talk) 15:46, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
