Comet NEOWISE in the 88th century[edit]

The article says 8786 as the year Comet NEOWISE returns to the inner Solar System, but futuretimeline.net says 8703. So, which year is correct, 8703 or 8786? If the precise year is truly unknown, then one should just say that the comet will return in the 88th century or the ninth millennium. GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 15:23, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

They are both basically worthless as the orbital period is not precisely known, but it is around 6800 years giving a return time of around 8800. Making accurate predictions of a comet return that is more than 1000 years in the future is insane due to the small non-gravitational forces acting on the long-term orbit. Personally, I would remove the entry from the list altogether as I do not think comet NEOWISE will be very notable to future generations as it was not as impressive as a truly great comet like Hale-Bopp. After looking at the list longer, I went and removed NEOWISE as the source admits it is using the generic near-perihelion (epoch 2020) orbit solution when you **must** compute the orbital period while outside the planetary region if you want meaningful results. If a great comet has a multiple year observation arc, we might keep it on the list for illustrative purposes. -- Kheider (talk) 17:20, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Six planets align on June 3, 2024[edit]

I keep hearing about an upcoming alignment of six planets on June 3rd 2024. I don't know if it's just that my social media feeds have aligned to tell me about it, but apparently it's a reasonably rare thing? "In the early morning, six planets - Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, will align in the sky" [1].

Would it belong on this list? But also do we have an article about "alignment of planets" AKA "parade of planets"? I couldn't find one. All I could find was Conjunction (astronomy) (when planets are on top of eachother rather than in a line) and also I found an article about one specific alignment: simple:2022 alignment of five planets and the Moon
