What is the expected inclusion criteria for this "List of historical monuments in Ireland"? And how, for example, does it compare to the "Lists of national monuments of Ireland"?

Is there a definition of a "historical monument (of Ireland)"? That differs in some way for example to a "national monument (of Ireland)"?

I ask because there is a statutory (and therefore clearly understandable) definition for the latter. But none that I am aware of for the former.

And, as a "by the way", the current members of the "list of historical monuments" are all also seem to be "national monuments". And hence there is duplication/redundancy in these listings.

Personally I think the intended scope of this list article is (at best) confusing, (at least) unclear as to its inclusion criteria, and (at worst) a less-than-useful content fork of the list(s) of national monuments.

Thanks Guliolopez.

I missed Lists of national monuments of Ireland while trying to tidy up an orphan. Have a look at its history and you will see that it also poorly duplicated a lot of other material. One of the main purposes in deorphaning articles is to get more knowledgeable editors to look at the long standing orphan and do better with it. Hence please feel free to merge / delete it as you see see fit.

Thanks. I have tagged it for cleanup. And, unless there are other contributions or opinions in the interim, will either nominate it for AfD. (On the basis that it does not meet WP:LSC or WP:LISTN).
