What constitutes cannibalism?

I noticed at least one incident in this article (March 8, 2012), and the reference provided, does not actually report consumption, but merely biting off an appendage out of anger. This doesn't strike me as truly cannibalistic. I don't want to remove it (the story seems note-worthy), but am not sure of another article where it would fit.

Moving forward how loose is the term cannibalism used for this article?

I added the above mentioned entry, after thinking about it, I think that it should be removed.I propose keeping only entries about the actual consumption of human flesh/body parts.--Catlemur (talk) 19:01, 3 March 2015 (UTC)

India

There were several incidents of cannibalism reported from India in the last decade itself. Can someone add them. The news reports are available online. 117.206.8.174 (talk) 14:30, 15 October 2022 (UTC)

Satanism in the 2002 Ukraine incident

"In July 2002, four Ukrainians were arrested in Kyiv for killing and eating a teenage girl. They were suspected of killing at least 6 people. Evidence showed that the murders may have been influenced by satanism. [110]"

The source does not provide or imply any links between the murders and Satanism, other than the quite subjective term "black magic". Jadanb07 (talk) 19:34, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
