Australia in Oceania[edit]

Elsewhere in WP, in geopolitical splits, Australia is included in Oceania, which I think is a more common usage (although there are variations).

I'm contemplating Moving and reorganising this page on that basis - are there any objections? Machina.sapiens (talk) 10:17, 20 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oceania#Geopolitics says: "In the geopolitical conception used by the United Nations, International Olympic Committee, and many atlases, Oceania includes Australia and the nations of the Pacific from Papua New Guinea east, but not the Malay Archipelago or Indonesian New Guinea" almost-instinct 19:33, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
