City of London[edit]

Per the lede, the article 'excludes the City of London Corporation as its elections are nominally fought in a nonpartisan system'. Should this be changed now that the Labour Party contests elections? And that Temple & Farringdon Together is a fairly substantial grouping? Ralbegen (talk) 21:11, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'd be inclined to say no. This isn't a particularly new development (Labour has contested CoCC elections since 2009, they just rarely win anything), and Temple and Farringdon Together is more of a lobbying group than a political party in any real sense; by the way the City is structured it's mathematically impossible for Labour (and TAFT) to ever come close to outnumbering the independents since there are more business than residential wards. It probably wouldn't hurt to include an explanatory footnote somewhere. ‑ Iridescent 21:30, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

2018 elections[edit]

Should not this article be updated to be based on the London local elections, 2018? Bondegezou (talk) 12:49, 30 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I've updated the figures accordingly. Ralbegen (talk) 14:20, 30 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
