countryside alliance[edit]

The countryside alliance being listed under animal welfare is inaccurate 83.67.41.128 22:54, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have moved it under the 'Cultural' heading as that seems a better fit. RedTomato (talk) 08:51, 27 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

English Defence League?[edit]

The idea that the Far-Right English Defence League exists as a pressure group is problematic. It would be inconsistent to label the EDL as a pressure group without also giving the same definition to other groups ranging from Combat 18 and the National Front, to Islam4theUK (now Muslims Against Crusades) and Christian Voice, as well as various anti-Fascist, Socialist, Anarchist, Fascist, Religious Fundamentalist and Communist groups. The EDL exists as a Far-Right nationalist group, but also as a process of promoting hysteria about Muslims/Islam. Only the EDL describes itself as a pressure group (along with 'Human Rights Organisation') - few others share this view: the widely held consensus is that the EDL is a Far-Right Ultra-Nationalist and Neo-Fascist splinter group from the BNP. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.217.166.32 (talk) 17:30, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

I'd say the references in particular could do with a tidy - the list is empty apart from vandalism at the moment... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.13.94.221 (talk) 19:23, 8 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
