REBA[edit]

ARE YOU JOKING/IT IS A CRYING SHAME THAT ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS ON T.V. HAS BEEN REDUCED TO A MID SEASON REPLACEMENT.WITH ALL THE OTHER NETWORKS OPTING FOR ALL THINGS REALITY THE SITCOM FORMAT IS ALMOST ABSENT FROM THE FALL 2006 LINEUP.THE SITCOM IS WHAT HAS MADE TELEVISION A NATIONAL PAST TIME.I THINK IT'S AN UTTER DISGRACE.I AM ONLY 31 , HOW MUCH YOUNGER DO YOU NEED YOUR VIEWERS?SHOULDN'T THEY AT LEAST BE OLD ENOUGH TO PURCHASE THIER OWN T.V. S?I ALREADY DO NOT LIKE YOUR NEW NETWORK.THERE ARE ONLY TWO SHOWS THAT ARE WORTHY OF WATGHING AND THAT'S SAD.I'M SURPRISED THAT YOU KEPT SUPERNATURAL.THANK GOD FOR SMALL MIRACLES.I WISH YOU WOULD RECONSIDER THE DECSION TO ONLY ORDER 13 EPISODES OF REBA.IT'S A GREAT BIG MISTAKE!!!!!! THANKS,ANGEL PORTER 31 OWNER OF FOUR TELEVISIONS. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.163.100.5 (talk) 06:14, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dear miss Porter,
1) The CW execs don't read this entry.
2) They're targeting the 18-20something demographic. So, they need thier viewers to be about, oh, eight years younger.
3) Reba is about blue-collar housewives and thier out-of-this-world antics. It stars a country music singer. Not one part of that fits the message The CW is trying to give off.
4) You only need one exclamation point at the end of your sentences.
5) You put a space in after a sentence ends.
6) Learn to type.
7) CAPS LOCK IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL.
8) Remove the road cone from your ass. Actually, no, push it in deeper. You could use some loosening up.

Love,

Kids' WB shows[edit]

...should probably be listed here as well. I would do it, but I'm at work. :) Lambertman 12:46, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Seriously, u guys should be upset charmed is not in The CW. God, its like the best show ever.

Put Pilot[edit]

What exactly does Put Pilot mean? Any help in defining this would be appreciated. --Dleav 13:45, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

From a former version of the page (I deleted this text, as it belongs on some other page):
A put pilot is deal to produce a pilot which includes substantial penalties if the pilot is not aired. This is a virtual guarantee that a pilot will be picked up.
I've also added this to the page on television pilots in a new section.

Summer 09 Schedule[edit]

The CW has added two new series to their roster for the summer.

Ceddy 06 06:03, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

Hello User:Ceddy06, your code was causing the other talk page sections to not appear on the mobile talk page. So I've removed it. I hope you don't mind. Linkin Prankster (talk) 18:40, 6 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Table[edit]

I think there should be a table for the series. 68.37.41.158 (talk) 13:20, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Editing[edit]

The Currently broadcast by CW section should be edited with only the year in brackets (not the month). Also if a show was on The WB or UPN before hand then that should come in separate brackets after The CW's year. This is the simplest form.

A message for "Ttll213"[edit]

I would like to ask mister Ttll213 to not delete "The Flash" tv series from the category "Upcoming programming" because the Pilot was ordered and it's set to air in august 2014. — Preceding unsigned comment added by PhoenixOroboros (talkcontribs) 10:47, 8 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Comedy Classification[edit]

I think we need to clarify what should be in the comedy list on this page. There is a difference between the genre comedy and a comedy as a type of show. Historically half hour shows are in the comedy list, and hour long comedy-dramas are in the drama list. Let me know what you think. Mjs32193 (talk) 14:42, 17 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

After further looking into it, the difference between Sitcoms and Comedy-dramas should be noted. Comedy-dramas belong in the drama list like Red-Band Society and Glee as some examples. Mjs32193 (talk) 13:55, 22 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There still seems to be some confusion about Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. While it was originally developed as a comedy for Showtime, it has changed format to an hourlong comedy-drama for the CW. Precedent calls for hourlong comedy-dramas to be in the drama category. See Glee, Red Band Society. For example, if they aired The Hangover, it would go in the category Movies, not the category Comedy, as comedy in this context is synonymous to sitcom. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mjs32193 (talkcontribs) 23:16, 23 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I think Crazy ex-girlfriend and jane the virgin should be in comedy as when they were both ordered, it said clearly crediting them as comedies, also everybody hates chris was a comedy-drama and we put that as a comedy.109.157.176.21 (talk) 23:43, 24 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The CW itself labels Crazy and Jane as comedies, and Jane has been submitted for Emmy consideration under the comedy category. Ttll213 (talk) 15:18, 25 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There's proof Riverdale (Tv Series has moved to the CW and will part of its 2016 midseason line up... why was it removed for its upcoming programming? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.38.152.200 (talk) 19:15, 3 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Supergirl[edit]

It says in the article that Supergirl is upcoming. As far as I know, that means that it's not out yet. But the first season has already ended. --OnlyReading (talk) 13:48, 15 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Strong Woman Do Bong Soon Remake[edit]

So I have been watching the original K-Drama on Netflix and recently found out that since November. It was reported that the aforementioned K-Drama is contention to be remade for American audiences at The CW. Can someone add it. I don't know if it fall under script order or the section prior... Since they have casted Ronda Rousey for it. But that's all the casting info I have heard. https://www.forbes.com/sites/joanmacdonald/2019/01/15/strong-woman-do-bong-soon-gets-an-american-makeover-with-ronda-rousey/#440025c3323a

Charts[edit]

Could you make charts for The CW shows for me, including the current season column for current programming? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.59.245.106 (talk) 22:46, 28 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Move 'Former Programming' to it's own page[edit]

Appears as if this Talk page hasn't been used for a few years, but thought I'd at least attempt to discuss this before enacting it. As the section title says I think the "former programming" list should become its own page. This is typical set up for television networks/streaming platforms that have an extended list of past programming. A link would be provided to this new page, just as it is in all other examples. (Examples: List of Netflix original programming and List of programs previously broadcast by NBC. MarvelousMusician397 (talk) 05:19, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It isn't really a long enough list to need a separate page. Spanneraol (talk) 02:20, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

acquired programming[edit]

Someone keeps trying to change the "acquired programming" to co-productions.. none of those shows was co-produced by the CW... they were all produced by other networks and then acquired for US distribution. Spanneraol (talk) 16:07, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Would I Lie to You (UK)[edit]

I've reverted you User:Nisf. I hope you will avoid reverting since two users disagree with you and you're the only one that wants to keep the show there. It's been two years and we can't keep waiting to see if the show will ever air.

There's been nothing about the show asides from a report that CW acquired two seasons in March 2021 and it's pointless to wait for a news of it being dropped. Setting an arbitrary time of three years to remove it is overkill. Linkin Prankster (talk) 04:06, 12 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have no problem with that, actually – as long as there's WP:CONSENSUS that the show should be removed, I'm not attached to the show being here. I just wanted to follow the same protocol that has been put into place on other programming pages (shows in development with no updates in 3 years get removed). Nisf (talk) 13:42, 12 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, thank you. Linkin Prankster (talk) 13:52, 12 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Acquired programming and continuations[edit]

An IP editor keeps changing the format of the status of acquired programming and Whose Line Is It Anyway? Since they won't bother to discuss despite being reverted by multiple users, I've started this discussion. They've also changed format of shows at other pages. I hope they come here to discuss their changes. Linkin Prankster (talk) 16:25, 11 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

We may want to ask admins to lock edits on the page from new and unregistered due to persistent disruptive editing from a user with multiple IP addresses. Nisf (talk) 17:07, 11 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Nisf, I don't think that should be done for one user, they're also disrupting other pages anyway so locking one article is pointless. I've asked the admins to disable their anon editing for a while. Let's see if this makes them discuss their edits. I asked for a 6 months block, but the admins have given only 2 weeks. Regardless I think by now the IP user knows what they've been blocked for I hope if they doesn't discuss their changes, the admins extend the ban. Linkin Prankster (talk) 18:25, 11 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Nisf: The admins didn't agree to blocking his range for the long-term, so I requested the pages List of programs broadcast by The CW, List of Amazon Freevee original programming and List of Peacock original programming to be protected for a long while instead. If there are any other pages the user has been edit-warring on for a long while, please let me know so I can try to have them protected too. Linkin Prankster (talk) 18:46, 6 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think these are the only pages – thank you! Nisf (talk) 22:02, 6 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
