Comment[edit]

I just wrote a long explanation on why NY/PA radio stations should potentially be included in this list, but then I deleted it. For my sake, I'm going to run through this very quickly.

Many NE/SE NJ locations are served either mostly/excluseively/partially by NY-based radio stations, some of which are "located in" and have antennas in NY, and some of which are not. For example, NE NJ is served by all of New York's stations, and although they may refer to themselves as "NY's...," many times they also will include NJ/CT in their descriptions becuase NY/NJ/CT create their broadcast market. For example, NY's 104.3 WAXQ FM WAXQ.

I suggest that either these radio stations be added to the list, that the list's title change to include broadcast from (since technically these NY/PA stations can be heard and have major constituenties in NJ, so as currently worded, it seems like they should be included) (changing title would make it so only stations broadcast out of NJ are in the list), or clarify the descriptoin at the top of the page to say "broacast from." I am in favor of including NY (as I almost just deleted teh article again, touchpad going insane)/PA stations, but what do you think? But then again it could go either way, it's just the major NY/Philadelphia areas most likely are mostly from NY/PA stations, so.... plus, for example, of the major networks, there really arent even any O&O's or affiliates in NJ, since NJ is basically split into the NY and teh Phila markets.

Just wanted to throw this out for consideration. SOrry for the horrendous grammar, syntax, and spelling--but I just rewrote a quick summary of half of what I had before and. you get the point. //MrD9 23:37, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The NY/PA stations are already well-covered by lists, e.g. List_of_radio_stations_in_New_York#New_York_City_area, and by templates, e.g. Template:New York FM. To add them to the NJ list would just be duplicative. This NJ list is intended for stations that are pretty much only heard within the state. Wasted Time R 02:10, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good. I just wanted to mention what I was thinking in case. //MrD9 02:56, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a note to this article's intro to this effect. Wasted Time R 03:06, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. It reads well. //MrD9 03:22, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WDVR is now on 89.7 FM and 91.9 FM in Sergeantsville, New Jersey. Does anybody care? Source http://www.wdvrfm.org/ The historical WDVR is listed on this page.
