Notability of Faviki[edit]

Is there any evidence that Faviki meets either guideline for notability: WP:WEB or WP:GNG? --Pnm (talk) 05:46, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I put it in because it uses the Dbpedia, Wikipedia page database for tags, which to me appeared most notable - linking a bookmarking tool to such a large database and to some degree standardising the tags used. Appears to be more suited/use on this list than Gnolia - which is now shut down and Identi.ca which is a microblogging service without a bookmarking function (unless I'm missing something). Is there any coverage of Faviki in reliable, secondary sources? Gnolia should probably be moved to a separate section for defunct sites. I completely agree that Identi.ca doesn't belong in this list. --Pnm (talk) 02:49, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Is there not?? Appears strange that you were so quick to jump in to delete Faviki yet not so quick to change the other points I identified. Do you have any interests?? I was just trying to share some valuable information. To be included in this list, sites should satisfy the notability guideline, Wikipedia's standard for inclusion. (The others do, or should, because they each have an article.) Perhaps you can find coverage of Faviki in WP:Reliable sources. If so, add it to the list with references to those sources. There's plenty to do to improve this article. My interest in this page is improving on the coverage being provided by List of social software. Lamberti's Delaware?[edit]

The edit "07:42, 9 May 2013‎ 185.5.152.76" about Lamberti's Delaware included a table row in the header, which is an editing mistake. Missing wikilink for Pinterest[edit]

What would cause the wikilink for Pinterest (here: -->Pinterest<-- :here) to fail to display in the table? This happened to me (in my browser) after my last edit. Hmm! It's also happening for "LinkedIn, YouTube, and Google+" (LinkedIn, YouTube, and Google+). See Pinterest#2009–2011: Founding (article: Pinterest, section: 2009–2011: Founding). @Yahya Abdal-Aziz: Weird. I've checked multiple browsers and systems, and they all look fine. I don't recall that exact problem, but I've had similar issues with browser plugins. If you have any of those installed, they wouldn't likely show up in a virus scan. If links are disappearing after you've clicked them, it may be that they are just changing to the default text color. (Compare Pinterest to Pinterest). Checking these pages logged out or in 'incognito mode' may narrow down the problem. Good luck. Grayfell (talk) 07:21, 1 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Grayfell: Thanks! I've just restarted Firefox in safe mode (all add-ons disabled) and the links do all show up. So now it's just a process of elimination to find the culprit. All I had to do was to disable ad blocking on en.wikipedia.org, by clicking the ABP icon, then the toggle switch next to "Block ads on:", then "Refresh". Et voilà! The missing business name links showed up again. :-) yoyo (talk) 09:43, 1 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Is SiteBar defunct?[edit]

Is Plurk truly a social bookmarking website?[edit]

I'm not very familiar with Plurk so may be missing something, but it seems to me that it's a Twitter clone, used primarily to share small snippets of original content. Cloud based bookmarking[edit]

Social bookmarking is not necessarily the same as many of the cloud based bookmarking sites that have sprung up to allow users to share one database of bookmarks with multiple devices (rather than users). I feel we need a section for this topic, especially with the demise of "Google Bookmarks" and del.icio.us. Also need a "list of cloud based bookmarking sites" for sites such as Raindrop.io A few that I am looking at to replace my personal use of Google Bookmarks site are: Bookmark OS, SiteBar, Saved.io, Pinboard, LinkLocker, Raindrop.io

worldanon.com gone[edit]

has disappeard from the Internet. It was a carbon copy of Xephula.com (more or less. Same apperance, almost same in every way). Always wondered if they were related. Zephula is still up. I cannot find anything anywhere on Worldanon. Jfbooth (talk) 22:53, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
