XBMC4STB port project by Vu+ and XBMC4STB port project by Marusys for PrismCube the same?[edit]

Are the XBMC4STB port project by Vu+ and XBMC4STB port project by Marusys for PrismCube the same project? Is the same code made by the same developers, people, and company/companies together? Or are they totally different projects and they just so happened to have named the port project the same; "XBMC4STB" (XBMC for Set-Top-Boxes)? 138.103.17.23 (talk) 14:39, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I find mixed information searching on the internet, with some articles and comments in forums saying that Vu+ is a indirect subsidiary of Marusys, (with Marusys Co., Ltd. being the parent company of Ceru Company Ltd. of which Vu+ is the daughter company of?), and other articles and comments in forums saying that Vu+ have absolutely nothing to do with Marusys, and vice versa? 138.103.17.23 (talk) 14:39, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
One thing that could point to the XBMC4STB port project being a collaboration between Marusys and Vu+ is this Tech Review Article by The Volpe Firm which writes that they spoke to representatives of the two companies at ANGA Cable 2012 Trade Show where they said; "Vu+ and Marusys (have a business relationship) showed us two products that use Linux as its platform although they have other products as well" but noted that "Prismcube is owned by MARUSYS, not by Vu+. Vu+ has no relation to Prismcube. The trademark of Vu+ belongs to CERU Co., Ltd.". 138.103.17.23 (talk) 14:39, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Another thing that could point to the XBMC4STB port project being a collaboration is that third-party images for PrismCube are now being developed by the Black Hole Team, a semi-official team of developers of long popular community driven images for Vu+-based set top-boxes.[1][2] 138.103.17.23 (talk) 14:39, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in List of software based on XBMC[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of List of software based on XBMC's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 09:28, 8 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
