Suggested merge?[edit]

I would oppose merging this article List of California State Beaches with the article List of California beaches, because the California State beach system, like State parks, has its own specific rules and regulations, which may differ considerably from those on other beaches. I would support merging with List of California beaches since the content of this article is duplicated and surpassed by List of California state parks (the beaches can be easily sorted out in the table). The issue of state beaches having different rules from other California beaches is, to my mind, immaterial: Wikipedia is not a travel guide and should not cover minutiae like fees and rules, since they are prone to change and outside the scope of an encyclopedia. -McGhiever (talk) 00:23, 16 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A question[edit]

The wikitable used at the bottom of many articles and which shows what beach is north and south of the beach that an article is about, uses the main title "California State Beaches". However most of the ones listed on that wikitable are not State Beaches, just regular beaches. I suppose we should perhaps say California beaches which links to List of California beaches as a more appropriate link? Any input? Invertzoo (talk) 00:19, 4 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
