Tornado Count Accuracy[edit]

@United States Man, TornadoLGS, 453Brax, CrazyC83, Cyclonebiskit, TornadoInformation12, Elijahandskip, Mjeims, and Mmapgamerboy: While removing the ref section and making some minor changes to the table, I stumbled across 10 autogenerated refs, nine of which appear to be for tornadoes that were incorrectly listed more than once on different days. Can someone check the accuracy of the number of tornadoes in this chart please? ChessEric (talk · contribs) 23:57, 14 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Do you know which refs they were? TornadoLGS (talk) 00:44, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@TornadoLGS: They were refs #271-278 for tornadoes in Kansas. It appears that these were added in by mistake as there are no actual reports for them and they seem to be same entries in both places were the refs were autogenerated. ChessEric (talk · contribs) 02:25, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I removed the duplicates and adjusted the counts accordingly. I'll do a recount later since there's a good chance of a miscount on a page of this length anyway. TornadoLGS (talk) 02:40, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. ChessEric (talk · contribs) 02:46, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm glad the refs were taken care off. Were they duplicate tornado reports, or even tornadoes in the tables? Aside from that, it appears the refs column has been suppresed in the list article. I'll get into the Tornadoes of 2019 article and finish off that process with the tables from the rest of the year. Mjeims (talk) 13:46, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@ChessEric: I have double-checked the counts as I said I would and found that everything is in order. Made a few changes to keep in line with MOS. TornadoLGS (talk) 01:38, 24 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I appreciate it. You know my motto: Accuracy from respected sources...or maybe you did. XD ChessEric (talk · contribs) 01:40, 24 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
ADDITIONAL EDIT: I've also been making changes to MOS guidelines in other outbreaks...although I didn't know it was named MOS until now. XD ChessEric (talk · contribs) 01:43, 24 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

On the “Tornado sequence of May 2019”, it says there were 402 tornadoes[edit]

On the list of tornadoes in the 2019 May tornado sequence, it says 392 and 400. which is the official count 2603:80A0:11F0:860:49A2:BE91:A19B:BC2B (talk) 16:11, 6 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
