Abernethy, Wales[edit]

In attempting to disambiguate links to the dab page Abernethy, I came across a link from this page which alleges that Grisy-Suisnes is twinned with an Abernethy in Wales. Whilst there are a couple of places called Abernethy in Scotland, and others in Canada and Australia, I can find no other evidence of an Abernethy in Wales. I suspect this is an error, but I'm not sure exactly how. So for now I'm leaving the link pointing to the dab page. -- Chris j wood 18:06, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

According to fr:Grisy-Suisnes#Jumelage, it's in Scotland. -- User:Docu

Split this article, please[edit]

Way too long This page is 117 kb; it won't properly display or be editable in many browsers. I suggest splitting it into List of twin towns and sister cities in France (A-M) and List of twin towns and sister cities in France (N-Z). -Justin (koavf)TCM☯ 21:32, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I have broadband but it still took a while to load. Someone with dial-up, as in most developing countries, would wait several minutes and maybe it wouldn't work even then. Suggest a split as suggested above. Enaidmawr (talk) 20:59, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have neglected the city of St-Germain-en-Laye, which has several "twins." including Winchester, Massachusetts USA. 173.14.148.43 (talk) 19:37, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sources needed[edit]

Most entries in this list are unsourced. So I put a "reference needed" template on the page a few days ago, hoping the contributors of these will provide sources. As a corollary it appears reasonable not to accept any additional unsourced entry. Sapphorain (talk) 10:47, 27 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

flagicon replaced with flagdeco[edit]

I replaced {{flagicon}} with {{flagdeco}} throughout in order to bring the page's "Post-expand include size" down below Wikipedia's software limits. References and templates near the bottom of the article now display properly. For technical details, see the text at the top of Category:Pages where template include size is exceeded.

This means the flags are no longer click-able.

When Wikipedia raises its limits or when the code behind {{flagicon}} changes so that it doesn't "consume" as much "Post-expand include size," the flagicon template can be restored.

I had to do this to three very large "sister cities" pages:
