Inclusion of major bodies of Water[edit]

This list includes multiple bodies of water including the Gulf of Aden and the Atlantic Ocean. There should be discussion about wether or not bodies of water can count. They are uninhabited but are not land. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wiki74o (talkcontribs) 01:44, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Pruning the "Others" List[edit]

The list with other uninhabiteds includes a number of "Much of" regions (e.g., "Much of Fiordland, New Zealand"). I propose that unless a named, bounded region is completely uninhabited, it be excluded. This is to help ensure any examples are specific and relevant to the topic.

Specifically:

  • The entire region does not have any permanent residents, and
  • Any people inhabiting any part of the region are there for a specific purpose and will leave at a finite time
    • Conduction or supporting scientific research
    • Nomadic herding, hunting or gathering
    • et cetera

I welcome your help and input on the matter — Safety Cap (talk) 18:49, 15 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
