German names[edit]

Why are we listing English names rather than German names, when a number of the universities have no official English title? samwaltz 08:01, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fachhochschulen[edit]

Should "Fachhochschulen" really be listed here? As far as I know, they do not have Ph.D. programs.

IKI[edit]

Dieschoenemuellerin (talk · contribs) has added the Internationales Kulturinstitut to the list. That seems wrong to me -- the IKI is a language school, not a university.

Update 4 Feb 2010[edit]

I have updated the list according to the German article an checked it to the lists on the Homepage of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Research. The list contains now all federal universities, private universities, and universities of applied sciences. Some of the latter do not have articles in en:wp. I left blind wikilinks to the bigger of them. ISTA is not a university, but a state run institute that offers PhD programs, so I did not remove it.--Wikiwatchers (talk) 11:03, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
