Figures[edit]

I think it will be nice if some one can add in figure showing the location and interaction of players in LXR signaling pathway or LXR protein structure. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 128.135.148.46 (talk) 18:33, 29 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Names shown in the two protein infoboxes[edit]

Would it be more informative to give the names LXRα and LXRβ in the two infoboxes, instead of "nuclear receptor subfamily 1, group H, member 3" and "nuclear receptor subfamily 1, group H, member 2"? --Zippy 18:39, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Research of Liver X receptor has become very popular recently becuase several scientists believe that since LXR is important in regulation of cholesterol, fatty acid, glucose and lipid metabolism, the agonists of LXR can be used to treat atherosclerosis, diabetes, and Alzheimer's disease. A few mice experiments support the possibility for clinical application of LXR agonists. Therefore, I think this topic should be important for the public and academic researchers.
