Declined speedy deletion, article issues[edit]

I've declined speedy deletion of this article because, looking at his CV, he's been published enough that there's an assertion that he's notable as an author. That said, I see two major issues with the article:

  1. The article must be expanded, showing his major publications and awards received/nominated for.
  2. The article must cite reliable sources, as independent as available, to back up the claims.

Failure to make those changes to the article could lead to it being deleted through normal channels. —C.Fred (talk) 01:09, 22 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Article issues[edit]

In response to issues raised by C.Fred:

  1. Issue No. 1: The article must be expanded: major publications will soon be added to this page.
  2. Issue No. 2: References to valid external sources are being provided to support the information and facts being provided in this page.--TDumas (talk) 04:26, 23 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Close connection[edit]

The most recent contributor to the page for Lloyd J. Dumas takes note of the point about being a close connection to Dr. Dumas. Dr. T.D. Dumas, the creator of Lloyd Dumas' page, is a non-blood relation of Lloyd Dumas. That said, this contributor invites the public to make contributions and, when necessary, corrections. All claims made on Lloyd Dumas' page by its creator are supported by external references, all appearing to be valid.--TDumas (talk) 04:31, 23 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Teresa Dumas (TDumas, Jeff's wife) certainly was tireless in advocating for this page. A lot more academics would appear in Wikipedia if they had such determined proponents. Nice job. I did wince at the phrases "He is an expert in many areas, including but not limited to... and "He has been quoted as an authority..." These seem more like marketing phases and less like biographical statements. Dehughes (talk) 13:28, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
