Huh?[edit]

Ths article states: "In October 1988, the U.S. Navy announced that Lockheed won the competition, as the company's proposal was significantly lower than that of the competitors." Lower? How? Fewer pages? Closer to the ground? In what way was their proposal "lower"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.158.48.18 (talk) 13:56, 24 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The bid was lower in price/costs. - BilCat (talk) 14:39, 24 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Then perhaps the article should reflect that... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.51.66.32 (talk) 03:39, 24 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Modified 737?[edit]

I was an engineer who worked on the GE27, and as I recall it, the Boeing entry to the anti-sub competition was actually a modified 757. OK, yeah, it took about 10 seconds to find a reference that supports my memory. 98.232.40.141 (talk) 07:19, 12 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
