Speedy Delete[edit]

Nothing notable. Held a role that doesn't seem to mean anything for 2 years. no independent sources at all. Seems like a vanity page. 174.87.54.39 (talk) 20:09, 6 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The procedure for deleting an article on the basis of a lack of notability is described at WP:AFD. The statement that she was co-chair of a well-known international organisation is enough to avoid speedy deletion. Phil Bridger (talk) 10:16, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
She was a co-chair of a very minor and unimportant org for a year, and neither she or the org did anything at that time. That's it. That's all the page even says. She had done nothing noteworthy, and the entire article consists of "she was born, she got this role" and hasn't been updated for 8+ years as it implies she was still the head. There's also over a half-dozen other people to hold the role with no page. I had a brief look and can find no news reports or reputable sources about her. So there's nothing notable about her, and there's nothing that shows any 'significance' of her. Thus it's a clear candidate for an A7 speedy delete. Unless you have something of relevance, of importance, or of notability to add. 12 people have held that position (several for multiple years), she's one of 6 with a page (and one of those multi-year people redirect to their national party page), so clearly just having the position clearly isn't that significant. So please, explain how this page meets the significance boundary, when others with a similar-but-better claim do not, and there's nothing to even make even a stub page from. 174.87.54.39 (talk) 19:56, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Once again, the subject may be a valid candidate for deletion for lack of notability, but this article does not qualify for speedy deletion. If you think it should be deleted then the place to discuss it is WP:AFD, not here. Phil Bridger (talk) 20:57, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
