Warehousing[edit]

Please note that the findings in the court case referred to in this section were later overturned in the English Court of Appeal. The listing of warehouse companies is also out of date. A correct list can be found on LME.com - Abraham.orchard 4 February 2015 (UTC) - Disclosure. I work for the LME.

Ring Trading members[edit]

The number of ring trading members is incorrect as there are now 11 Ring Trading members. As reflected on lme.com Abraham.orchard 25 April 2013 (UTC) - Disclosure. I work for the LME.

Silver trading[edit]

The article says that silver is that silver is traded on the LME since 1999 and that contrary to popular belief, it'sasdada not. I'm no expert, so I've just tagged it as a contradiction for now and will leave for someone else to fix up. Cheers --Pak21 15:15, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Corrections[edit]

I currently work at the LME and am proposing to make the following changes to the entry to correct some factual errors and provide some references to figures quoted. These changes will be made as per wikipedia recommendations regarding conflicts of interest. I'm providing advanced notice. Should anyone have any issues with the proposed changes please let me know via my talk page otherwise I'll go ahead and make the changes in a week.

Proposed changes

Base metals were traded prior to 2000 (copper being a base metal)
We will provide a total volume trade figure
LME Does not provide storage but licences storage locations for metals and plastics to be put on warrant at approved locations by LME members.
Steel has not started trading and will not start until 2008 as planned.
Inter-office trading is not done throught London Clearing House (known now as LCH.Clearnet) but through LME.
LME also trades plastics futures (LL And PP)
Twelve member firms have exclusive rights to trade in the ring (number 12 joined recently)
The LME's website is usually referenced as lme.com

Paragraph looks like advertising the software development company. Removed last sentence about the scalability and reliability, because it wasn't argumented and not being relevant to the subject.
