Error caused by incorrect argument to Template:Inflation -- Fixed

There was an ugly error message caused by naïvely representing 10 s. as 0.50 (i.e., 50 new pence) to display the present-day value of the 10 s. price in 1845 for the right to erect a mausoleum.

Template:Inflation does not allow an amount less than unity (i.e., ₤1.00). I have posted a workaround on the talk page there, under the heading Workarounds for pre-decimal Sterling amounts. Monomoit (talk) 22:57, 12 January 2013 (UTC)

You don't need to use those overcomplicated workarounds. All you need do is ensure that the value begins with a digit, i.e. don't use {{Inflation|UK|.5|1854|r=0}} (which produces 59) - use {{Inflation|UK|0.5|1854|r=0}} (which produces 59) instead. --Redrose64 (talk) 23:48, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
