Lack of balance[edit]

This article is very poorly written, selective (bordering on original research) in its choice of matches. In particular, the "History" is nothing more than a recap of the most recent matches, and over-lengthy quotes from the newspapers - in all it's a terrible case of recentism. Some perspective from before 2004 is desperately needed.

Also I question the value of a 2006/07 table - Wikipedia is not a news service. Qwghlm 12:40, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I plan to include more distant history but I wanted a basis of content there before I built on it. The idea of the 2006/07 table is to show the overall performance of the London teams in the derbies, it's not intended as a news service which will eventually contribute to an overall performance of the London teams in the derbies.

As the article goes on I'm sure other people with further knowledge will be able to build up the article. Mattgibbins 00:06, 14 November 2006 (GMT)

East London derby[edit]

Millwall-West Ham is a fierce rivalry but its not an east london derby because Millwall are in south London. unsigned comment by 81.157.132.234

I'd also always thought of Chelsea-Millwall as a huge rivalry, but nothing about it here Grunners (talk) 15:31, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You would be wrong to think Chelsea and Millwall have a huge rivalry, they hardly do and was merely created by the film the Football Factory.

Millwall/West Ham is more often called the East End Derby rather than the East London Derby which in recent times has gone onto describe Orient/Dagenham, but either way, this IS the correct usage for the term as Millwall is a place in East London and they originated there, and for that reason it has always been called East London/End Derby. - Unsigned poster
