Try to expand stubs, however, some "new" articles may be neologisms, as this is common with positions on theories on life and may be suitable for deletion (see deletion process)

Misleading statements[edit]

There is a danger of being highly misleading here.

Life expectancy is not a single figure; it is a different figure for each attained age.

It is very plausible that a relatively modest reduction in age-specific mortality rates may result in a one-year increase in life expectancy at birth or at a young age.

However at advanced ages, the life expectancy is only a few years, and it is much more difficult and less plausible for that figure to increase by a whole year within a short period, which would be required for the effect described in the article.---Ehrenkater (talk) 18:01, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I hope that I've made it more clear now. The article talks about people's remaining life expectancy, not any other life expectancy. That's important to note. Thanks! Aquarius3500 (talk) 17:22, 9 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
