Legal Issues section removed with questionable basis: now reverted back
[edit]I want to bring up two issues on this page. First a user with handle Abrown1331 removed a section about the legal issues relating CoStar and LoopNet. Full disclosure, I was on the founding team at LoopNet, but I haven't worked there since 2001 and have no affiliation or financial interest or dealings with LoopNet or CoStar today. I was unsure why someone would remove a section on historical legal issues between these two companies.
A little digging reveals that Abrown1331 is possibly Angela Brown an external communications rep for CoStar, which would suggest that the material was removed to reflect corporate interests rather than to improve article quality on Wikipedia. Here's a link on CoStar's website referring an Angela Brown in this capacity. I have no real point to make about this issue, but felt like I should document it here, in case this user makes other questionable edits on this page. I've added the section on Legal Issues back to the article, but would welcome thoughts on whether it actually does belong here. Stevemidgley (talk) 20:43, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
Article is written like an ad
[edit]Significant portions of this article are written like an advertisement. Example:
"Listings on LoopNet receive unprecedented access to the professional commercial real estate community and unmatched exposure to the largest actively searching tenant and investor audience"
As written, the article seems to be an ad for the services than an article on something generally notable.
