Notability[edit]

Despite the article indicating that her work is "popular," I am not convinced at this point that this person is notable. There seems to be a great deal of effort made, citing to sources - often not RS - for the most trivial "facts". In short, she is the founding director of a non-notable (by wp standards) project. She has a non-notable video blog. And she was a semi-finalist for a non-notable video blog. So? --Epeefleche (talk) 03:14, 22 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

From what I know this person does qualify as Notable. There needs to be more work done on this page though. (Zwolfp (talk) 14:34, 22 October 2014 (UTC))[reply]
Short of being written up in The New York Times, Palatnik is notable in the Jewish community and has been written up by major papers across the U.S. and Canada. All that's needed is another round of reference lookups to find the latest coverage on her JWRP program. I noted some dead links. Yoninah (talk) 17:25, 22 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I looked more closely. This looks like someone's resume or personal puff piece, full of detail cited to material that is either non-independent, or non-RS, and amazingly non-notable, about non-notable books and non-notable tv shows and non-notable writing, and there is a paucity of material by independent RSs about the person. I'll look further, but so far this looks highly suspect, as a self-promotional non-notable topic. Though of course I have no evidence other than what is written, as to any COI. Removal of maintenance tag, without addressing problem[edit]

Here, maintenance tags were removed, without addressing the problem. If not addressed, they should be restored. They are self-explanatory. --Epeefleche (talk) 18:36, 22 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Lead[edit]

It is unclear why this person is being referred to as "a Jew on a journey". What does that mean? Can anyone else be categorized that way? IMO this is not a valid description per WP:MOSINTRO: The subject should be placed in a context familiar to a normal reader. @100.15.98.73:, @64.134.70.130: Please discuss here before reverting again.
