Radcliffe comparison[edit]

The reference to Paula Radcliffe running a faster half marathon needs more explanation: if Radcliffe ran faster, why does she not hold the world record? My personal feeling is that the reference should be removed because, if Radcliffe does not hold the world record for some reason (despite having run faster), her accomplishment is irrelevant in a section about Kiplagat holding the world record; it reads as though it has been inserted by a bitter Radcliffe fan. I totally agree with you. A downhill race shouldn't be equated to an averaged even one and also most likely with a closed circuit. She should have chosen her races better while in her peak, now she won't be capable to break that record any more. Pity Paula. Heathmoor (talk) 00:16, 7 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Family[edit]

The article currently includes the following. "Part of a highly successful family of runners, her relatives include Sylvia Kibet, Hilda Kibet and Susan Sirma." Presumably she isn't related to Benjamin Kiplagat, Bisluke Kiplagat, Edna Kiplagat, Florence Kiplagat, William Kiplagat, or Silas Kiplagat, even though they share her name and sport. (See Kiplagat.) Shouldn't the article say so? Tim Ivorson 2014-04-16
