Engineered solutions to prevent loss of effectiveness?[edit]

There seem to be two potential engineering solutions to prevent loss of tail-rotor effectiveness:

  • Small-diameter high-RPM turbine impeller with stators, inside the tail and ducted sideways out the back
  • Fixed opposing stator blades next to the tail rotor inlet-side, that arrest the vortex ring and maintain thrust.

Why are these not commonly used to solve the problem and provide for more stable flight control in all situations?

Either of these can continue to provide thrust, driven by the rotor during engine failure and autorotation recovery.
