4 years in prison?![edit]

Wow! Does anyone know if it was a normal place or what?2602:306:C59C:2E0:ACAC:8552:3B7B:8510 (talk) 06:24, 3 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Article cleanup[edit]

There are 24 citations to the book itself, which constitutes original research (WP:OR) as I understand it. I plan to reduce the amount of OR and provide citations to third party sources, such analysis by David Glantz, "American Perspectives on Eastern Front Operations in World War II", and others. Please let me know if there are any concerns with this proposed course of action. K.e.coffman (talk) 05:30, 30 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I cleaned up the article by significantly reducing the amount of material cited to Manstein's memoirs. Please let me know if there are any concerns. K.e.coffman (talk) 04:09, 3 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What an article... I wouldn't count anything on post-WW2 German war"historians" and press in assessing for example German wartime commanders'memoirs. They have been taught to self-whipping attitude against WW2-era Germany. This attitude is clearly visible in this article, which itself should be read with caution. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.67.92.132 (talk) 16:55, 12 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

August 2020 edits[edit]

Preserving here by providing this link; my rationale was: "rm self-cited and dubious claims". --K.e.coffman (talk) 00:42, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
