As much as I love Lotus (and I do - got an Elise lol) I think decribing it as a 'relaxed car' is a bit poetic, as opposed to lumbering tourer, which I think would hit the mark a bit closer. Checked one out at my lotus dealer, and although it's got nice looks, it's a bit of a let-down. Not trying to let personal feelings in here, they've just missed the point I think with this car. Calling Fifth Gear "Popular"[edit]

Misleading lexis, I'm afraid. Fifth Gear is not a popular motoring show, it is an ignored motoring show.

Also, no coverage of the reaction of the highly acclaimed and infinitely popular Top Gear's reaction to it in their magazine?

You're highly biased by favouring Top Gear over anything else. U1 quattro TALK 15:58, 15 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

production numbers[edit]

Thank you for your enquiry regarding the Europa production. There were 458 Europa models built between 2006 and 2010 with 48 being SE specification. We do not have market breakdown recorded as it is only recently we have received requests for Certificates of Provenances regarding these cars and started looking into the build history to find out production numbers etc.

It's also on the Europa S/SE facebook group, but that group is not public. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.6.74.209 (talk) 19:45, 5 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Car Classification[edit]

In the lead section, it says that the car is of a "grand touring nature". But on the reception section, most car experts seem to disagree in calling the Europa S a grand tourer. I think that calling it a grand tourer is an error and it should be considered a sport car, although it would be good to let the reader know that Lotus conceived it as a grand tourer.
