Does anyone have confirmation that this man is alive? I've looked online and found nothing that even mentions Auger celebrating a 100th birthday or anything that would indicate his being among the living.Longevitymonger 15:54, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Because of WP:BLP, unless we have evidence that he's deceased, we have to presume that he's alive so long as he's under 122 years old. Since his Parliamentary biography lists no date of death (they usually do when the person is deceased), we have to presume that they are alive per the policy. I have added the category "Possibly living people" to reflect this doubt. Having said that, however, if it would make you feel more comfortable, I see no reason not to remove him from both the "Canadian centenarians" category and the List of centenarians page. Doing a little more research, it seems that I was wrong with the above. He is in fact deceased (see the second external link), although no details about his death (or indeed, much of his career after the trial) are available. Cheers, CP 03:21, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
