DONNER PARTY
Perhaps the role he played with the ill-fated Donner Party should be included. It is said that Vasquez deliberately withheld a letter from another traveller warning the Donner's not take the shortcut which doomed them. Vasquez did this because he wanted greater traffic on that road because it passsed Bridger's Fort. The tradiitonal California Trail did not pass Bridger's Fort, but Fort Hall. Cetainly the fact that he played a key role in one on the most famous events of American expansion is worthy of inclusion in this article. If there are no objections I will soon add this information (with a link).
