Conein was an important figure in the history of the involvement of the United States in World War II and (particularly) in the Vietnam War. If I recall correctly, his name was referenced many times in the Pentagon Papers. For a little background, see [1], and [2]. I would argue that the article should be improved and expanded. Should Lou be in quotes[edit]

I think not. I think Lou is universally enough a nickname for any name with Lew/Lu/Lou as the first syllable that this is not needed under the common and expected nickname rule in the manual of style.John Pack Lambert (talk) 13:23, 29 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
