Removed Photo

I removed the photo Image:Lucy Pinder17.jpg as it is unproperly licensed and is nudity that lacks any relevance for its content (see Jenna Jameson, there is no nudity).

Gonzy fan, what is wrong with that, are you a single mother who complains about how you only look bad because you have had kids and that other women should not show off because they look hot, dont act like a wuss, wikipedia has no censorship so dont complain about irralivent stuff! --Metal to the Max! 10:54, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

Futher to this last comment, I found a photo that has already been uploaded to the server, and I have set that as the article photo. If it is unsuitable, how can a more suitable one be uploaded?...thanksDeltasquared (talk) 07:02, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Home town

"Lucy Katherine Pinder was born (20 December 1983 at Winchester, Hampshire, England) ... a freelance photographer spotted her sunbathing on the beach in her home town."

There is no beach in Winchester - it isn't even coastal - so perhaps someone could fix this?

Fix it yuorself, and feel free to edit other pages too.

It is possible that her home town and town of birth are different.

She was actually found on the beaches of bournemouth.

Lucy was born in Winchester, where she still lives, and "discovered" on Bournemouth beach. -213.162.113.17 (talk) 13:43, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Inappropriate Phrasing

"She was spotted sucking off somebody"; I am removing this sentence even though I am not sure if it is actually accurate (first time I have heard it) but mostly because I would not consider it the kind of language an Encyclopedia should use. Henners91 21:08, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

Sidenote: It seems someone beat me to it, rather scary because I can't find it in the history, but I'm tired anyway so maybe my mind is wandering.... 2nd time this has happened (CAFOD article talking about poo but when I move to edit it, it's fixed :O) Henners91 21:08, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

It is not accurate, your edit was justified 213.162.113.17 (talk) 13:43, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

This is true!

She appeared at Loaded Nightclub in Spalding for the national Babes on a Bed competition on Easter Saturday 2007. Where Rachel, Tara and Hayley went through to the final

Yes, it is true. Unfortunately it will be a little hard to find an advert for the event over a year later... 213.162.113.17 (talk) 13:43, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Airbrushed

Does anyone know how much (if any) airbrushing is oen to her photos? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.129.64.4 (talk) 22:56, August 26, 2007 (UTC)

Not a lot. Mole under left breast is frequently edited out as is mole on right side of neck. Photos in the Daily Star often feature airbrushed skin texture. Nearly all apparently naked photos are not really so, the knickers have been edited off. Apart from that - minimal. Shape and form are entirely natural. 213.162.113.17 (talk) 13:43, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Removed WikiProject Pornography link (irrelevant(

Lucy Pinder is a glamour model, she has no connection with pornography and has never appeared in any pornographic work. From the project discussion page:

This project covers various topics related to the subject of pornography, such as:

Pornographic actors, actresses and models, as well as related infobox templates.

Additionally, the project is to implement a standard means of procuring information on pornographic actors, as well as to address what is proper for an encyclopedic article on porn stars.

Other porn-related biographies, such as notable porn film directors and photographers.

Other pornography-related topics, such as pornography genres.

The larger topic of pornography itself, and social and cultural issues surrounding it.

None of these topics have any relevance to Lucy Pinder or her work. She is not a pornographic model.

This also applies: Controversial material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced must be removed immediately, especially if potentially libellous. Any implication that Lucy Pinder is involved in pornographic work is certainly "potentially libellous". -213.162.113.17 (talk) 14:04, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Unconstructive edits by User:Dismas

User:Dismas has recently made a series of unconstructive edits to this article, repeatedly removing true and relevant information, and on some occasions re-inserting false material which had been deleted. These activities by User:Dismas significantly reduce the truth value and usefulness of the article, especially in the light of the publicity currently being given in the UK to the false rumours. Perhaps the user concerned, as a non-UK resident, is not aware of the current content of UK tabloids, but it is highly likely that UK readers will be seeking this article at this time due to those rumours and therefore particularly important that the true information is available to them and is not deleted. The most important thing, after all, is truth. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Censorship Workaround (talkcontribs) 15:47, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

Ahem... I suggest you check out a policy on Wikipedia first before making that kind of statement, and the policy in question is Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. This is one of Wikipedia's core policies and is non-negotiable. It says at one point "Assert facts, including facts about opinions—but do not assert the opinions themselves." The edit of yours which keeps getting culled out includes this statement: "The truth is that the chance of her participating in the show is vanishingly small." That is your opinion right there; the information presented earlier about the erroneous Daily Star article and her response as mentioned elsewhere is sufficient for the reader to draw a conclusion. Tabercil (talk) 16:07, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
"The truth is that the chance of her participating in the show is vanishingly small" is a rewording of the statement on the Lucy Pinder Television website, which is one of only three websites that has a concern with accuracy (the others being the Official Lucy Pinder Website and Neon Management - reliable sources for celebrity material are extremely rare, and in this case it is only those three websites which can be completely trusted (though the Neon Management site has a tendency to be out of date).) Censorship Workaround (talk) 22:24, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
Lucy Pinder TV is reliable only to the extent it provides sourced material, otherwise it does not meet the requirements of WP:RS. Tabercil (talk) 22:33, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
Eh? It is the source. From reading that article it seems to me that it definitely does meet the requirements, particularly in respect of the requirement for a "reputation for accuracy and fact-checking". If that site published inaccurate material, it would be forced to remove it and possibly to close down altogether. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Censorship Workaround (talkcontribs) 23:11, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
"Articles should rely on reliable, third-party, published sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy." (emphasis mine) Lucy Pinder Television looks to be no more than an aggregator of existing content, much of which consists of copyright violations. Tabercil (talk) 07:19, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

Network Rail Ad

Did lucy appear in a network rail advert for level crossing safety.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlJSpFetHUg

The following is copied from youtube:

"http://www.lucy-pinder.tv/ Quote: Lucy Pinder, Glamour Model "I'm really pleased to be involved with the Don't Run The Risk campaign this year. The fact that people misuse level crossings and ignore warning signs is really surprising to me, especially when the consequences are so clear. This kind of campaign is really important to highlight the dangers of taking life-threatening risks to young men."

Quote: Mark Shaoul, Head of Marketing, Network Rail "Last year's campaign had a noticeable effect on recorded incidents at our level crossings, which are one of the key safety points on the rail infrastructure. This year we have taken the campaign a step further, using data to identify specific level crossings for heavy weight local community activity. We've also stepped into new territory with a viral designed to reach those elusive 18-24 year old male drivers.

All in all, our message is clear, if you run the risk at a level crossing, your chances of surviving if hit by a train is virtually zero"" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.244.117.198 (talk) 21:16, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Well it's hard to argue with the evidence, but at an outside guess you're correct? Maybe no need to quote the entire school lesson... Many thanks, δ²(Talk) 08:34, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

Daniel Hooper and Television X

Shouldn't there be some mention of her long term boyfriend Daniel Hooper under personal life.

Also under tv appearances the fact that she presented the Freeview for TelevisionX from 25th December 2007 Lmcgregoruk (talk) 12:24, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

You're more than welcome to add information as long as you can provide a source for the potentially contentious bits. Relationships would fall into that category. Dismas|(talk) 13:20, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Personal Stats

I don't know who wrote that but Its pretty clear that she is not 49kg! LOL. I don't know how to change it, I don't use wikipedia reguarly just stopping by but that definitley needs to be changed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.198.193.21 (talk) 15:54, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

It had been changed from 59kg, but there was no source cited for that either, so I've removed it. snigbrook (talk) 20:31, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

Management reference needs updating

"She is represented by Neon Models." is out of date. Should be "Girl Management". See http://www.lucypinder.info/html/contact.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.162.113.89 (talk) 01:57, 28 January 2010 (UTC)

Not a Page 3 girl

See the defintion of Page 3 girl elsewhere on Wiki - She had a contract with the Daily Star - she has not appeared on Page 3 of the Sun so she is isn't a Page 3 girl according the definition: --Rrose Selavy 14:52, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

welcome to the official web site of Lucy Pinder, page 3 girl for the Daily Star.

Replaced statistics section with a model template.

There seem to be some web sites on the net willing to claim she's emphatically not fake-chested. Can someone cite a source for this?

It has been widely reported that she has not had any enhancement surgery. There is no physical evidence that she has. Surely the assumption should be that she hasn't had the surgery rather than that she has!ElephantMan2007 19:13, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Lucy has had no surgery of any kind. This is in fact one of the FAQs on the FAQ list on the forum on the official website (the forum is visible to registered users only). 213.162.113.17 (talk) 13:43, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Pornography portal links

The second paragraph of the article on Page 3 clearly states that there is a dispute about whether Page 3 girls are softcore pornography.

The link to the pornography portal is not an attempt to resolve this dispute, but merely a reflection that the dispute exists and therefore Page 3 girls are a topic of interest to the pornography project. --The Vintage Feminist (talk) 14:56, 26 August 2013 (UTC)

@Lucyspinder: Hello Lucy, and welcome to Wikipedia. As I mentioned on your talk page, please review our policy on conflicts of interest. In short, as you have a COI, it's best not to edit this article directly, rather post requests for changes here, on this talk page. Also, Wikipedia takes copyrights quite seriously, and the two images you have uploaded File:Lucy-pinder-98.jpg and File:Lucy Pinder Wallpaper -- 1366x.jpeg lack a proper copyright release per Commons:Licensing. Note that the second of those has already been tagged, and will be deleted if an appropriate copyright rational is not added. Rwessel (talk) 04:24, 27 May 2016 (UTC)
  • I doubt that the recent edits made to this article were actually made by Ms. Pinder, but there are already four images of her in this article here, which is likely more than enough given the amount of text in the article right now. Also, several of the recently-added images include nudity or partial nudity, which is not generally suitable for an article like this one. Guy1890 (talk) 06:33, 28 May 2016 (UTC)
