minor religious orders[edit]

I have never heard of the Franciscans or Dominicans referred to as minor religious orders. They came before the Jesuits and in 1608 would still have been bigger and more prominent. What does this mean? --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 22:57, 8 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
