Original name[edit]

I've watched the edits and reverting over the original name of the Labyrinth. The German Wiki article says this:

'"The first construction phase lasted until about 1800 and resulted in the labyrinth being named "Luxburg" after the former castle of Lugsburg."

Of course this is also unsourced... Now if someone had one of the two books in the Literature section, we might be able to nail this. --Bermicourt (talk) 20:00, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The claim by User:Von Luxburg that the name was ever "von Luxburg" is not only unsupported but also highly unlikely. "von Luxburg" is the name of persons, never of a place. There is no evidence provided that the von Luxburgs have anything to do with this labyrinth or with de:Burgstall Lugsburg which gave it its original name. The castle of de:Schloss Aschach (Bad Bocklet) which the Luxburgs bought in 1872 (!) is almost 200km away. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 05:00, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
