  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:

Lead[edit]

  • "He joined Bristol City in 2014 and helped the club to Football League Trophy and League One titles during his first season with the club." - team

Early career[edit]

  • "he simultaneously became Gillingham's youngest ever first team player," - Gillingham's youngest first team player in team history
  • "with both teams showing an interest in signing the player." - rewording the text in bold to him will suffice
  • "At the end of the same month," - remove "same"

Arsenal[edit]

  • "ensuring Yeovil made a winning start to the season." - victorious
  • "During the 2009–10 campaign, Freeman scored 16 times in 24 games," - wikilink 2009–10 campaign to 2009–10 Premier Academy League
  • "making 15 appearance and scoring twice for the Somerset based club" - Somerset-based

Stevenage[edit]

  • "Freeman joined League One club Stevenage on 17 November 2011, on loan until 8 January 2012," - try Freeman joined League One club Stevenage on loan from 17 November 2011 to 8 January 2012,
  • "at Championship side Reading in the FA Cup third round." - link FA Cup third round to 2011–12 FA Cup
  • "as Stevenage lost in the League One play-off semi-finals." - wikilink the text in bold to 2012 Football League play-offs
  • "Premier League side Everton in the League Cup on 28 August 2013," - the emboldened text should be linked to 2013–14 Football League Cup
  • "Freeman also scored in a comfortable 4–0 home win over Stourbridge in the FA Cup" - link FA Cup to 2013–14 FA Cup
  • "secure a 3–2 win away at Bradford City on 1 March 2013." - I think you meant to write 1 March 2014 here
  • "as well as a late winning goal in a 3–2 victory over Walsall, Stevenage's first win in eleven matches" - victory
  • "as Stevenage were relegated to League Two." - wikilink League Two

Bristol City[edit]

  • "helping Bristol City secure their fourth straight win." - change the emboldened word to victory to avoid the reptition earlier in the sentence
  • "Freeman received the first red card of his career " - link red card to Fouls and misconduct (association football)#Red card (sending off)
  • "when he was sent-off for a high-footed challenge in a 4–2 home" - a challenge on whom?
  • "draw against Ipswich Town courtesy of a deflected effort." whose deflected effort?

Queens Park Rangers[edit]

  • The acronyms of Queens Park Rangers need to be put in brackets

International career[edit]

  • "ahead of the 2008 Nordic Tournament, held in Sweden." - link the emboldened text to Nordic Under-17 Football Championship
  • "with England failing to qualify for the Final of the tournament as a result of Norway's superior goal scoring record." - with England failing to qualify for the final due to Norway's superior goal scoring record.
  • "and scored once in England's only victory" - the nation's for the avoidance of reptition
  • "He played in two of England's three games, with England" - the country

Style of play[edit]

  • "During his time at Queens Park Rangers," - QPR

References[edit]

  • References 1, 5, 15, 25, 82 through to 105 are dead and will need archiving
  • References 12, 18, 55, 76, 106, 108, 109 and 110 are missing their respective authors

This review is going to be put on hold until the nominator has addressed the queries I have raised above sufficiently. MWright96 (talk) 19:36, 3 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for taking the time out to review the article. Have made all of the changes you've noted (although not fully on board with the change to 'victorious'!). The only thing I am yet to do is archive the references – because, put simply, I have no idea how to. I was initially just going to change the out-of-date references to a new up-to-date source, but seeing as a lot of them are FA.com references covering such small events, it's unlikely I'd be able to do that. No concern re: Struway's comments, very rarely will I update the prose after each goal is scored, I did this previously and it just ends up being a monumental waste of time (and reads like a list as opposed to being able to include information you get from knowing how the season has ended up panning out). This will be done in the coming days/weeks once the season is out. If you could let me know on the archived references that would be appreciated (what do I do?) and I'll get to work on them. Cheers. • WP:WAYBACK, WP:ARCHIVEIS and WP:WEBCITE are the accepted archives to use and these pages have the necessary information which tells you how to archive dead sources for each one. I hold off passing when some information on Freeman's most recent season has been added and the dead source information have been adequately addressed. MWright96 (talk) 14:17, 4 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Cheers. Archived the lot. Added a bit about the 2017–18 season, will add a few things about his assists throughout the season too as he's right near the top of the assist charts, I'll just add that in at the end of the season. Let me know if there's anything else. SBFCEdit (talk) 18:46, 4 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Drive-by comment The prose seems to be a year out of date: there's nothing at all about the 2017-18 season... cheers, Struway2 (talk) 20:00, 3 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Struway2: All added now bud. Just a heads up that GA article David Davis has nothing about the 2017–18 season too. Cheers. SBFCEdit (talk) 18:46, 4 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@SBFCEdit: I have nothing else to raise in this review so I can now promote this article to GA class. MWright96 (talk) 07:26, 5 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
